Is Disney Cruise Line concierge level worth it?

Try going early in the morning or late at night when lines are shorter. It was so nice to have one of the Disney Cruise suites at sea that’s even larger (about 600 square feet) and nicer than most hotel rooms. That said, it was a really nice greeting with Champagne and a personal review of our itinerary, orienting us on the benefits of sailing Concierge, and securing any last-minute reservations we might be interested in.

On the final day, they benefit from priority debarkation, making their transition back to land as effortless as possible. Furthermore, in ports where tender boats are required, concierge guests enjoy priority tendering, adding another layer of convenience to their excursion experiences. The least expensive concierge room, meanwhile, clocked in at $3,431 for two adults. At this rate, you’d be getting a stateroom, not a suite, though you’d have your own private verandah and almost twice as much space. This is in addition to all the perks you’ll receive as a concierge-level booking. The most important perk you’ll receive is priority access to onboard bookings.

Concierge Royal Suite

The food is just so much better than the main dining rooms, and the room service for the kids worked out brilliantly. When our kids were younger that wasn’t a viable option without us in the room. Meanwhile we thoroughly enjoyed our Remy meal that the Disney Dream Concierge team reserved for us. We liked Remy so much we booked Palo the next night on our way back to the room.

The Concierge Lounge & Sundeck

While they aren’t guaranteed, these special surprise gifts add a touch of magic to your Disney Cruise Line vacation. The lowest-level concierge stateroom (with verandah) starts at $3,180 for two or $4,411 for a family of four. On Disney Wonder, the lounge is located midship on Deck 10, which is almost as high as you can go on the ship.

The Disney Magic is [unofficially at this time] going to dry dock during a 21-night itinerary gap which starts on April 14, 2023 in New Orleans. The Disney Magic is scheduled to resume passenger service from San Juan, Puerto Rico on May 5th with an 8-Night Southern Caribbean Cruise. The Disney Wish will also debut four royal suites that celebrate the gilded world of Disney Animation’s “Sleeping Beauty,” with two Princess Aurora Royal Suites and two Briar Rose Royal Suites. Each pair includes a single-floor option and a two-story configuration, the first of their kind for the Disney fleet. Disney Cruise Line revealed the various and expanded offerings of stateroom accommodations planned for the launch of the Disney Wish during the Once Upon a Disney Wish grand reveal prevention.

As previously mentioned, all Disney Cruise Line suites come with included concierge access and services. Stateroom types within that concierge class of rooms start at the verandah-level room (i.e., a cabin with a private balcony) and go up in price and size to include a variety of suites. If you're already thinking you want to book a suite, you don't also have to decide about concierge level; you will automatically get Disney Cruise Line's concierge service included with your premium accommodations. There's no question that sailing with concierge access on Disney Wish is a fantastic experience, but you probably could have guessed that.

Personally, I don’t think you get better treatment if you’re wearing a lanyard with a gold card or blue card, especially since almost every Cast Member interaction is very positive. To help give you a better idea of costs, I’ll break down the cost for a 3-night cruise on the Wish that goes to the Bahamas, a 7-night Alaskan Cruise on the Wonder, and a 7-night Mediterranean cruise on the Dream. Here’s an in-depth breakdown of what you can expect by staying in a Concierge Level stateroom on any of the Disney Cruise Line ships. Impact on your credit may vary, as credit scores are independently determined by credit bureaus based on a number of factors including the financial decisions you make with other financial services organizations.

The Disney Wish provides bathrobes as part of the standard stateroom amenities but on the other ships, they’re only for concierge guests. We initially booked the standard inside stateroom, but Disney upgraded us shortly before we left for the port, and we appreciated the extra space in the bathroom. When we were in an inside stateroom on Deck 2, catching the stairs and bypassing the crowded elevators was easy. My family and I stayed in a one-bedroom suite on the Disney Dream, and we enjoyed the extra space and privacy. The king-sized bed had pocket doors that separated our sleeping space from the rest of the room, and we had two full baths, one with an oversized bathtub. These suites offer space to spread out at a more affordable price than the Royal Suite, although affordable is a relative term when it comes to concierge staterooms.

Disney Cruise Line Concierge Rooms

Still, I'm also happy in an inside stateroom and I wouldn't splurge on concierge class every time — we've since booked two more Disney cruises, and neither is a concierge stateroom. Our four-night cruise in March was about $6,000 for the same four people. Though the ocean-view concierge stateroom had more space, lounge access, a dedicated team to see to our every need, and more, we still have fond memories of our cozy little windowless inside stateroom. Every stateroom aboard the Disney Wish has been designed with ample room for families, plenty of storage space and upscale amenities.

In that case, you’ve probably clicked around a bit on Disney Cruise Line’s website to find the perfect ship and route that aligns with when you want to go on the ultimate Disney vacation. However, this bathroom had Elemis products that Disney's on-board spa uses and a few extra toiletry items, such as a toothbrush holder, Q-tips, and cotton balls. Once again, our host tidied our room twice each day and left us towels and chocolates each night. With a price tag that demands more gold doubloons than the average cruise, the Concierge Level beckons those seeking an extraordinary escape from the mundane. This is not your typical cruise; it is a passport to opulence and indulgence.

Make sure you keep checking back or sign up for our newsletter for the latest Disney Cruise News, like the reservations required for the Hyperspace Lounge, the current pre-cruise Covid testing, and the latest discounts. Our stateroom host also tidied our room twice daily and left us some chocolates and towels folded into the shape of animals each night. One kid slept on the top bunk and the other slept on the Murphy bed, so we never lost our sofa in the evenings. However, watching both of the televisions at once was impossible because the sound traveled even with the privacy curtain closed. Our 214-square-foot deluxe inside stateroom on deck two had a split-bath feature, which we liked.

On embarkation day, you get priority boarding and are among the first guests to board the ship. Non-Concierge guests are given an arrival window to avoid everybody slamming into the terminal at the same time. Sipping evening cocktails on the private deck while sailing away into the sunset was simply phenomenal, and having a lounge to pop into for treats, drinks or reservation assistance was a convenience I could get used to. Having sailed both in and out of these accommodations on Wish, I found myself enjoying more of the ship itself when sailing without concierge access. However, for most of us with finite vacation budgets, there are trade-offs requiring us to maximize each decision.

If you arrive early you can wait in an area reserved for Concierge guests. Concierge guests board immediately after guests who are doing back to back cruises, but before everyone else. There tends to be quite a bit more standing around and queuing for non-Concierge guests since there aren’t many seats. A few days before the 120-day booking window opened we secured the reservations we wanted via email. Probably the hardest amenity they can secure is a cabana on Castaway Cay which, despite their high price of $599, sell out quickly and typically go only to Concierge guests.

This exclusive outdoor space provides a tranquil haven for guests to bask in the sun, take in breathtaking sea views, and enjoy moments of relaxation away from the bustling areas of the ship. This access to private and refined spaces reflects the unparalleled level of comfort and exclusivity that comes with booking a concierge-level room on a Disney cruise. Disney Cruise Line’s Concierge Level offers various services and amenities that may appeal to guests looking for a more luxurious and personalized cruise experience. For an additional cost, Concierge Level guests can enjoy perks such as priority boarding, access to a private lounge, concierge assistance, enhanced amenities, and other premium services. Disney Cruise Line Concierge-level rooms are quite expensive, with prices starting around $3,000 for a short trip for two and increasing significantly for larger suites or longer cruises.

Prices will then get progressively more expensive as the sail date approaches. At a minimum, Disney Concierge rooms receive 100 MB of free Wi-Fi, while some categories come with unlimited internet access. Concierge guests also receive priority tendering in applicable ports of call and additional priority disembarkation at the end of the voyage. Meanwhile, the private outdoor sundeck provides guests with cozy lounge chairs, free sunscreen, chilled face cloths and a dedicated concierge pool deck host. On Disney Wish, this private deck also includes two whirlpools and a wading pool.

We opted against booking a cabana, unable to justify the cost in our minds. Once our cruise was booked, I called the on-shore Concierge for guidance on things that can be booked ahead of time. If you’ve never sailed with Disney, having someone talk you through the options you’ll want to book is invaluable.
